Description
English: Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) field, Kantō region, Honshū, Japan. – Material of Buckwheat noodles are one of the cereals which can be harvested twice in 1 year. This picture was taken in the buckwheat field where it was growed up the one for the buckwheat noodles powder of autumn buckwheat noodles in the flowering time. A white flower to bloom in one side of the buckwheat field is the plant which transmits the visit of the season of spring and autumn, and it is sometimes used as season word (Kigo, 季語) of autumn in Japan.
日本語: 関東地方。ソバは1年に2回収穫できる穀類の一つである。この写真は秋蕎麦の蕎麦粉用に育成されている蕎麦畑で、開花時期に撮影した。日本では蕎麦畑の一面に咲く白い花は春や秋の季節の訪れを伝える植物であり、秋の季語として用いられることがある。
